My Personal Odyssey and Its Impact on Design
My name is Patricia, and AYSA Atelier is the most exciting chapter of my life, an adventure that began long before the brand was launched. For seven years, my home and school were the streets and ancient temples of China. There, I fully immersed myself in the study of fashion design, exploring the richness of textiles, ancestral patterns, and the philosophy that permeates every detail of Eastern clothing. It was a profound immersion that transformed my vision of art and creativity.
But life is a journey, and sometimes the most inspiring paths lead us back to where we started, but with a renewed perspective. Upon returning to my beloved Barcelona, the warm light of the Mediterranean, the vibrancy of its colors, and the free spirit of its people merged in my mind with everything I had learned in the East. I began to dream of a fashion that honored both cultures, that fused Eastern sophistication with Mediterranean warmth and comfort.
This journey has not been without challenges, but every obstacle has been a lesson, every step a confirmation. Like the shepherd in "The Alchemist," my favorite book, my quest led me down unexpected paths, overcoming trials, to discover that my true treasure lay in the creation of AYSA Atelier: a place where my passions and my story could be freely expressed through design.
The Secret of the Name and Soul of the Logo: Beyond the Obvious
Behind every great story, there are details that make it unique. Did you know that the name of our brand, AYSA, my maternal surname, hides a secret that connects us directly to our inspiration? Read it backwards and you'll find the key to an essential part of our essence: ASIA. A wonderful coincidence that reinforces the deep connection we have with the continent that taught me so much.
And our logo, more than just a symbol, is the map of this journey and the essence of our philosophy:
* The triangular 'A' represents the alchemical symbol for air. For us, it brings new airs filled with fire, the vital energy of creation, transformation, and the innovative spirit that drives every design.
* The horizontal red line: It's the desert horizon. It symbolizes my own personal journey, a journey of challenges overcome and discoveries, just like the odysseys narrated in "The Alchemist." It's a reminder that every step, no matter how difficult, brings us closer to our destination.
* The hidden pyramid: in the "A," evoking the pyramids of Egypt. It symbolizes the shepherd's journey in the book I love so much, and my own journey from Barcelona to Malta, to China, and back to Barcelona to found AYSA. It is the icon of perseverance, of the search for one's personal legend.
